Our work touches on most aspects of social and economic development and, in many cases, development of the physical environment also. In order to put flesh onto this abstract statement, we draw on some hundred examples of our work. These are all ongoing or recently completed projects and so present a true picture of our current capability – our corporate knowledge base and the skills and experience of the people who work with us.

We characterise our work under the six broad headings listed upon this webpage. On the linked pages each of these is further sub divided into a recognised specialism supported by project examples. Because much of our work is multi disciplinary, many individual projects address more than one of these sub categories.

Almost all of what we do incorporates some cross cutting themes. For example strengthening institutions and development of people working in those institutions is a feature of most of our projects. So is project management and very often, procurement. These themes remain implicit in our categorisation but nevertheless are crucial in building sustainability of outcomes.
