The 5-year IMP, managed by WYG International, was brought to a successful conclusion earlier this year, having assisted over 3,300 companies and having had a major positive impact on both the domestic and international competitiveness of Egyptian industries.
WYG International has now been asked to provide additional support under a one-year, Government of Egypt-funded project to continue this work. Three senior advisors will advise on future policy and strategy, provide overall support to the ongoing provision of business development services, advise on fund raising from donors and potential private sector investment, provide capacity building through training and counseling and advise the new Industrial Training Council.
An important element of the additional work will be support to vocational industrial training activities such as policy, strategy, national vocational qualifications and accreditation, accreditation of training providers and the establishment of sectoral enterprise training partnerships. |
