TB/AIDS Control Project: Needs Assessment and Development of Implementation Plans for Federal Institutions

WYG International is currently leading a consortium in managing and implementing this project, the objectives of which are to evaluate the potential of Federal Research Institutes to realise the HIV/STIs national control strategy at the federal and regional levels, to develop plans for each Institute, to improve the activities used to fight the epidemic and to conduct extensive needs analyses with regards to trainers, equipment and materials.

More specifically, WYG International experts are responsible for the following:

  • Collecting and analysing data relating to the methods currently used by the Institutes to monitor the  HIV/STI situation and to the availability of human and material resources in doping so;
  • Determining the main factors affecting HIV/AIDS/STI control within each of the Institutes, as well as on a national scale;
  • Developing and presenting proposals for activities to improve the efficiency of HIV/AIDS/STI control, including the development of inter-ministerial interaction at the federal level;
  • Determining a detailed set of inputs/investments to be sustained by each Institute following project completion.
