| This project was commissioned and paid for by the European Reconstruction and Development Bank.
The Bank lead the proposed Tajik State Airline (TSA) Air Fleet Upgrade project, which was approved in June 2003. The objectives of the assignment were to assist TSA management in preparation of the business strategy and marketing, help the company in formulating an ideal fleet composition and route schedule, and finally, project the financial performance, resulting in a foundation of a successful Business Plan
The scope of the assignment was as follows:
- To develop and agree on TSA’s future fleet and route configuration;
- To elaborate on conditions of leasing a western aircraft;
- To project the financial performance of the TSA;
- To prepare a Business Plan, to IFA standards, which contained:
- Assessment of company situation-legal, organisation ,personnel, assets etc
- Review of present operations-fleet, airbases, etc
- Formulate a business strategy and marketing plan for 5 years;
- Review current markets and customers and prepare traffic forecast for 5 years;
- Prepare a financial evaluation of the company-present and future projected results ( to include cashflows – without investment, with changes in fleet aircraft and marginal cashflow)
