Young Job Seekers Project, Poland

The overall objective of the project was to assist young job seekers to find employment and to work with local employment offices to help them to improve the quality of services they provide.

WYG International worked with 50 employment offices across the whole of Poland and helped them to provide training to 100 young job seekers. Through the auspices of the project therefore, vocational training was provided to 5000 candidates across the nation.

This project's immediate objectives were:

  • Counteracting unemployment: increasing the employability of young job seekers from areas of high unemployment.
  • Strengthening local capacities to tackle unemployment: Introducing and testing individual action plans' methodology as an effective method of action of labour market institutions.
