| WYG International, through its wholly owned subsidiary IMC Polska sp. z o.o. is the accredited Outplacement International (OI) provider of job counselling and job placement services in Poland. It is also the only Polish firm to be accredited to the European based Association of Outplacement and Counselling Firms and Institutions (AOCFI). WYG International’s Outplacement activity in Poland started in 1999 with the recruitment and training of an initial team of 20 counsellors and facilitators and the first commercial contract was carried out for 150 workers leaving the Cussons factory in Warsaw in September 1999. Since that date, over Euro 1 500 000. of outplacement services have been delivered on a commercial basis to over 200 companies in Poland. IMC Polska is licensed by the Polish Ministry of Labour and Social Policy to act in the field of job placement.
The services have been delivered according to each firm’s particular requirement with some clients such as Lot Polish Airlines requiring full outplacement facilities including counselling, job search, training and job placement as well as psychometric testing, CV preparation, interview coaching and negotiation training. Other firms such as Ford and the brewery Zywiec have asked for different parts of the service and have sought to provide some parts of the service by themselves. The list of clients shows the trend that only the large, financially strong firms are able to purchase outplacement for their redundant employees but increasing smaller firms are keen to be seen to provide as much assistance as possible to departing employees. In some cases IMC Polska has managed the public relations component of redundancy services on behalf of client companies. Other clients include Levi-Strauss, USAID, Unilever, Danone, Bank WBK & Zachodni, NSK Iskra, Pepsi and Polpharma.
Over the last 3 years, IMC Polska has assisted over 8,000 people undergoing redundancy and with a success rate showing almost 75% of active job seekers finding new work. It is noticeable that the time taken to find a new job is increasing as general unemployment rises but it is also noticeable that the outplacement service significantly speeds up the process when compared to those people looking for work without assistance. |
